“We believe our logo illustrates that by engaging in the FMF intervention, families will find that doors they believed to be closed (or may have been unaware even existed) will open. And… with the opening of doors… comes hope for the present and the future.
For awhile, the FMF Specialist will walk along this path with the caregiver…[and]…the caregiver will gain skills, knowledge, and confidence in their role as a parent of a child diagnosed with FASD. At some point, the caregiver will be walking that path without the FMF Specialist because that work has been done…[and]… caregivers will, instead, be accompanied by other supports they have nurtured and strengthened.”
